How does the NatureSwim Freshwater Pool System work?
Oxidiser
What is an oxidiser?
An oxidiser sanitises your pool water through some form of disinfection. Common chemical disinfectants for pools are chlorine, ozone, UV etc. which is used to burn away organic matter in a pool.
Our state-of-the-art freshwater pool sanitising system is designed with a powerful oxidiser, which is 100 x stronger and 1000 x faster in killing off bacteria and viruses compared to chlorine to breakdown organic matter such as skin flakes, skin grease, sunscreen lotion, urine and more without the need for chemicals.
High pool water temperatures have no effect on the disinfection properties of the NatureSwim system whereas the risk of loss of disinfection properties in a chlorinated pool is medium to high.

Copper/Silver Ionisation
Why Copper/Silver?
The use of copper-silver ionization for drinking water production started in 1960, using a small ion generator to disinfect drinking water aboard the Apollo Space Craft.
Today copper/silver is used as a disinfectant in hospitals and swimming pools all over the world.
How does copper/silver get rid of algae and bacteria?
The copper bonds and disrupts the cell wall causing nutrient uptake to fail which also opens up the cell to be penetrated by the silver ions, as they bonds to their protein amino acids in DNA and RNA causing the cell to stop cell division eventually causing them to die out.
The copper and silver ions stay in the water to continuously collect contaminants, which are then removed by your pool's filtration equipment.
The acceptable copper range is 0.25 – 0.4 mg/L which is well below the WHO Drinking Water Standard of 2 mg/L.

EMD (electromagnetic descaler)
Why is it needed?
Over a period of time your pool will slowly accumulate calcium buildup in your swimming pool pipes, and if nothing is done can lead to, poor swimming pool sanitising performance as your pipes are becoming blocked.
The way to eliminate this problem is by using our EMD (electromagnetic descaler).
The EMD delivers a powerful short duration, high-frequency electromagnetic wave that creates repeated pulses from the face of the EMD. The sound waves then reflects off the surface of the liquid and returns to the EMD, these vibrations in the pipeline will shake the water, causing calcium from bonding together and attaching itself to your swimming pool’s walls and pipe lines.
